“Rhubarb_Runner” grew up on a small farm near Beltrami, MN. He graduated from Fertile-Beltrami HS in 1980, then earned a BS in Computer Science from Moorhead State University in 1984.
His first job was writing embedded software for the B-2 “Spirit” Stealth Bomber radar in Los Angeles, where he lived for 5½ years. He married his wife Mo, a Valley Girl as it turns out, while there.
Soon after, they moved to St. Peters, MO, where he worked at Emerson Electric writing embedded software for the MC-130H Combat Talon II radar. During this time, his daughter K was born.
After 1½ years, he was laid off (along with just about everyone else), and began work as a consultant with what is now Manpower, Inc. Except for a short stint on a project for Southwestern Bell, he was since been working for the Engineering Department of the Union Pacific Railroad. He now resides in St. Charles, MO.
Rhubarb_Runner’s interests and hobbies include (in alphabetical order): astronomy, baseball cards, choir, genealogy, insect photography, juggling, the Minnesota Twins, science fiction, softball, trombone
The postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent the positions, strategies or opinions of Manpower, Inc. or Union Pacific Railroad.

Just met David on my website. Trying to find some Twins for him Seems like a great guy, hope to do some more trading soon. Cardjim
Not sure who you’re directing this to, Jim — nobody reads this blog.
I got your message about a possible Larkin relic trade…which would be awesome. I don’t have your email address handy though so you are getting this comment. Shoot me an email if you are still interested in trading, I’m hopeful we can work something out!
I’m going to try to post more regularly to my blog. Here’s the link:

Hey there. This is Jason. We met at Mark’s shop yesterday. Looking forward to following your blog. If I ever start posting to mine again I will let you know
I just came across your blog from reading another one that I read from time to time. It dealt with the trading of some 2008 Upper Deck Documentary, and I am trying but not doing so well, to complete the team set of the Indians for this set. Would you be able to assist me at all in working towards this collecting goal? I am a team collector of the Cleveland Indians. Please let me know if you would be able to assist with this endeavour. Happy Collecting!
Dude! I’ve been on the B-2 (Training System) Program since 1992! Send me an email and I’ll tell you more.
Anyhow, the Die Cut Morneau and the YSL Jackson are yours. Send me your address.
Tom
I have a mess of Twins topps fan favorites cards if you are interested.
Thanks for reading. It will probably end up covering more than just baseball.
Beltrami, eh?
My maternal grandparents were from Bejou and Gary.
Yep, that’s the neighborhood. And 3 of the 8 classmates in grade school had “our” last name, and none were related.
hey thanks for checking out my music. all the best, JL
Are you kidding me?! I’ve been a JLFusion fan since college (early 80′s) — I absolutely love Soft Space (now repackaged as Lift Off). I was just checking out the newer tracks — hearing the HS jazz band playing “City” reminded me that it was time to check back again. Keep putting out the great stuff, and thanks for the reply!
You worked on the Stealth Bomber? That’s freakin’ awesome as hell.
Yes indeed. One of my biggest thrills was being out at Edwards AFB a week after it flew for the first time, and getting to walk around and under it. What a beautiful aircraft.
Trombone huh? By little brother still rocks his bass trombone, even though he hasn’t been in a “band” for years.
Jazz, Classical, Ska?
I’ve got an F-attachment and play in a brass choir (sounds better than “brass ensemble”; there’s 7 of us) at church. We do a share of Canadian Brass music, some light swing, etc. I’d love to get more involved in a large band someday.
