Loot From The Coot

Not long ago, Dustin from the new blog Coot Veal and the Vealtones hit me up with a trade request. Dustin had done his homework: he’d delved through my wantlists and had a nice mish-mash of Twins cards I needed, everything from a replacement ’70 league leaders card and a ’89 O-Pee-Chee stickerback to an auto card and some s#’d cards. And I’m still just as baffled by Bowman as before.

Dustin has had to be patient though, unfortunately; his cards arrived literally minutes before Mo and I left for a week to Ft. Myers and Spring Training (more on that in a later post), so I’m just getting around to mailing the return package.

clockwise, from top left: 1970 Topps AL Piching Leaders #70 Dave Boswell/Jim Perry (w/Denny McLain, Mike Cuellar, Dave McNally, Mel Stottlemyre); 2007 Topps 52 Certified Autograph #52S-JM Jason Miller; 2007 Upper Deck Goudey Heads Up #281 Harmon Killebrew; 2010 Bowman Blue Border #116 Kevin Slowey [203/520]

Also included were several Topps Total and UD Documentary (yeah!)…

clockwise, from top left: 2007 Topps Updates & Highlights Gold #UH231 Torii Hunter [0373/2007]; 2008 Upper Deck A Piece of History Cut from the Same Cloth Pewter #CSC-MA Joe Mauer (w/Russell Martin) [18/75]; 1989 O-Pee-Chee Stickerback #8 Gary Gaetti; 2010 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Blue Border #BDPP50 Logan Darnell [043/399]

Thanks again Dustin — your cards will be forthcoming!

  1. Glad you liked the cards. I like homework and I like detailed wantlists.
