Ft. Myers, FL! Postscript

Now that we got back our camera from the rental car agency, I can wrap up our Ft. Myers’ vacation writeup with a few of the photos that arrived with the camera.  These were taken at the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium:

a section of the walking trail boardwalk through the cypress forest

cardinal wild pine bromiliad, an epiphyte (or “air plant”) growing on a tree

The nature center had a small butterfly house, and while it wasn’t hopping much while we were there, these pair of butterflies were a pretty couple:

Julia (Dryas iulia)

Florida state butterfly Zebra Longwing (Heliconius charithonia)
